I am slowly winding up the end to my break from work, so I was more than happy to spend Friday Night involved in some sort of sewing activity. I did have a bit of work to do on my laptop, but then I was into my new cross stitch project:
This is one in a set of 3. I stitched one of them - way back - before patchwork etc took over - I guess 1985-88. I've been wanting to finish the set and finally bought some even weave to match the finished one and off I went. I love cross stitch - it's not as social as a stitchery as you need to concentrate and count so I may not do much of it at sewing groups...but there isn't too much work in each one....a lot of backstitching though.
Thanks again Wendy for giving us the opportunity to set some time aside and sew.

I have some cross stitching I'd like to try this year - I did a little about 30 years ago but not since - I have a couple of little Christmas themed ones I am wanting to do this year - might even put them on my ufo list...xx
It's been awhile since I joined in FNSI but I love seeing what everyone else is doing, you'll be so pleased to finish the set it looks lovely so far!
Your cross stitch is lovely Look forward to seeing it finished
that looks beautiful and such tiny stitches...

Beautiful ❤️
I love cross stitch too but it seems my projects have also fallen by the wayside to quilting & knitting. While I can't keep up with the cross stitching, here I am wanting to learn punch needle. Who has time for that too??? Haha! I still want to learn ...
I also enjoy cross stitch but it's been on the back burner since I started quilting. Must get it out and work on it again.
Look forward to seeing yours completed.
Did you finish the Sydney one??
Gosh. I remember those patterns. I loved them at the time but had others on the go....some of which are still UFOs from all those years ago. Oops! Good luck working on them.
Hi Susan such a pretty project, well done my friend xx
The cross stitch looks really delicate, it's lovely
That's such a great design Susan... very pretty.!
I agree, cross stitch is often not as easy to do in a social situation... but still, it produces beautiful results.
They are so pretty! When I do cross stitch (very rarely now) I need to concentrate a lot... xx
It looks lovely! Good luck with finishing the whole set Susan!
Hugs,
Tatyana
Very pretty! I love cross-stitch as well (better than patchwork if I'm honest) but I've been slacking off there! Hope you enjoy your piece and I can't wait to see it finished.
