FNWF - February 2017

I love Friday nights when I can join cyber friends and sew...
well even without cyber friends I love to sew after work.💜💜💜

A bit of a mixed bag this month.

I cut some applique houses.  This is for a pattern I bought at a retreat ...maybe February 2016...not too bad really.
I had planned to trace the of the shapes for when I find the right fabric (ran out of time) - it is not in my stash 👎- that is what happens when you decide to do something that is not your normal style...just as well I have friends from whom I can beg or borrow (never steal!!!) or maybe I will need to do some bartering.

I've also been making some of the blocks from Tula Pink's book - 100 Modern Quilt Blocks.  I find them so quick - I can cut and make 4 or 5 a night after dinner...if I don't sit & watch TV!

These are the ones I sewed tonight.

And I had to have a little treat...There are new Tim Tams, so I HAD to try the Salted Caramel ones.  I bought them at lunch time and shared a few with one of my work colleagues - she will give them to her husband.

Thanks to our lovely hostess, Cheryll - and a happy weekend to everyone.

Pop over here to find all the other FNWFers.

  1. I love your houses, such pretty colors. I have Tula Pink's book also but I haven't made any of the blocks yet. I just bought my daughter some of her fabric. Looking forward to seeing more of your blocks.

  8. Quite the mixed bag for FNWF. The modern blocks are intriguing. They do look like they would stitch up quickly.
