FNWF

I love the first Friday of the month because it is usually followed by the first Saturday of the month - so I get an extra dose of sewing...and then sometimes we get a long weekend as well - joy!!

So, this post is a bit late and I can't really remember now what I did when - so in summary for Friday night, and a sewing Saturday I worked on these:
and did some more very "Fussy" cutting

Those antlers are going to be tricky to sew....

And on Sunday I went to the Beenleigh Quilt Show - some lovely quilts and some interesting ideas to stash away.

Here are a few that caught my eye:

The detail of the bricks was very clever and the thread painting on the flowers was amazing:
It was hard to get a clear shot as the quilt was moving in the breeze.

And I just have to add this one...this is DD2 - where she works they have a "theme" each weekend...this weekend is "Hawaiian"  Don't think she will win a Vogue award for best dressed but she really gets into the spirit.

Lovely to be sewing with cyber friends - for those with a holiday Monday - enjoy!!  the weather in Brisbane has been absolutely gorgeous lately, so hopefully it will continue.

Thanks Cheryll for hosting us again...
